Midgets Visit Holland, Wheelspin, 1970

A team of six Midgets headed by Des Cotterill who acted as team manager made the trip to Holland during the first week of May. The drivers chosen for this first visit to Holland were Pete Smith, Tony Stubbs, Rod Tanswell, Mick Miller, Tony Horsley and Graham North who was driving the Whiting Electrical No. 2 Car, usually driven by Tony Bostock, who couldn't make the trip on this occasion.

The week's racing took in meetings at S'Hertogen Bosch, Hengelo and Baarlo. Most drivers had a fair measure of success the most notable drivers being Pete Smith and Tony Stubbs who each had two wins. What with the very pleasant weather and enjoyable racing the drivers look forward to a further visit some time in the future.
