Leon Smith
As a well known and respected driver on the short ovals since
the early 1970s, Leon caused quite a stir when he joined the
GP Midgets in 2014.
He is best known as a successful hot rod racer, first with
Spedeworth and later with the Northampton promotion. Prior to
that Leon raced in Superstox including a spell in the White
City / Walthamstow Lions Auto Spedeway team in 1971.
Leon has won several titles whilst racing Midgets including
the 2019 World Championship.
